Money and relationships — it doesn't have to be complicated

Financial disagreements are cited as a top cause of relationship stress. Not because couples don't want to manage money — but because existing tools weren't built for them.

🤝 Shared budgets that both understand

migj creates one shared budget for the household. Both partners see the same categories, limits and progress — no spreadsheet to maintain, no app to cross-reference.

🔒 Privacy where it matters

Not everything needs to be shared. Set individual expenses as "personal" — visible only to you. Keep shared categories transparent, personal ones private.

🎯 Goals you work towards together

Wedding fund, house deposit, family holiday: create shared savings goals and see how close you are each month. Real progress, not abstract intentions.

📱 Both of you can add expenses

No more "did you log that?" — each partner adds their own transactions. The household dashboard updates in real time for everyone.

How couples actually use migj

Three common setups — migj handles all of them.

👫 Young couple, one shared account

Sofia and Marco both import their Intesa Sanpaolo CSV every month. Categories auto-detect. They see a shared dashboard with €2,700 budgeted, €1,843 spent — on track for June.

🏠 Family of 4 with separate accounts

Both parents import their bank CSV. Joint expenses (rent, food) are shared. Personal spending (hobbies, clothing) is marked private. Children get a "pocket money" sub-budget.

🎯 Saving for a big goal together

"Wedding fund" is a shared savings goal. €10,000 target, €200/month contribution. Both see the progress bar — and both feel accountable when restaurant spending creeps up.

Privacy levels — your choice, always

Not every expense needs to be shared. migj gives you three levels of visibility for each category or transaction.

👥
Shared — everyone seesRent, groceries, utilities: visible to all family members. Full transparency on joint expenses.
🔔
Threshold — visible above a limitExpenses over €X are visible to partners. Small daily costs stay private; large purchases are shared.
🔒
Personal — only you seeGifts, therapy, personal hobby spending — stays completely private. Counts towards your personal budget, not shared totals.

Questions from couples

Only the ones you mark as "shared". Transactions marked as "personal" are visible only to you. You can also set a category to "threshold" — visible to your partner only if above a configurable amount.
That's the normal setup. Each person imports CSV from their own bank. Both accounts are visible in the family group. The dashboard shows a consolidated view of household spending across all accounts.
Yes. migj is multi-user from the ground up. Both partners can add expenses simultaneously. The shared dashboard and budget update immediately for everyone in the group.
Any member can leave the group at any time. You always have a CSV export of all your personal transactions. The Owner can delete the family group and all associated data, or transfer ownership to another member.
Yes. Children can be added as "Viewer" members — they can see the family budget but not modify it. The Family plan (launch price €50/year until June 30, 2027, then €79/year) includes dedicated children allowance management.
